Gold Diggers
Set in 1853, this 8 part comedy series centres on two strong, modern women challenging the conventions of their world. The design gives a surprising twist to the Australian Gold Rush, attempting to be historically accurate and rooted in research, but with enhanced vibrancy and comedic effect.
Our main town location in rural Victoria required extensive adjustments, including construction of the girl’s slab hut (int/ext. set) and surrounding slums, prison cell, dunny and exterior pub façade. Tent City location on the Loddon River was a complete build, and several studio sets were constructed including Int. Pub and Opium Den.
